Thanksgiving in Rhyme

Plump as a turkey
Spicy as pumpkin
Snug as a quilt waiting warm on the bed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soft as a newborn
Tumbly as cousins
Rough as the whiskers on grandfather's head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tight as a bear hug
Shiny as lamplight
Sweet as the welcome on mom's gentle face.
~~~~~~~~~~~
True as a sibling
Kindly as parents
Rich as a blessing -- Thanksgiving's embrace.
  1. I love the beautiful language of poetry. What a neat way to say your inner thoughts. Happy Thanksgiving!
